Abstract:
The case, "Reviving Khadi in India" provides an overview of the importance of Khadi during the freedom movement, the problems it faced in the post independence era and the reasons for its declining share in the overall production of KVIC.
The case specifically deals with the strategies adopted by KVIC to improve the sales of the fabric and its efforts to popularize Khadi as fashion fabric. The case gives insights into the restructuring activities undertaken by KVIC in order to face the challenges of globalization.
